10/1/14 10:49 pm - NYCMidnight Flash Fiction Challenge Round 1 Results

The results are in for Round 1 of the NYCMidnight Flash Fiction Challenge. They only ranked the top 15 in each group, and I (unfortunately) was not one of the top 15. I am still in the running to participate in round 2 and beyond (depending on my future scores - round 1 & 2 scores are combined to determine eligibility for round 3). Round 2 begins at 11:59pm EST on October 3rd. I want to thank all of you who read my story, offered critique, and/or helped me make edits. So, I gained 2 lbs this week. It's my own fault. I got lazy with my exercise, and ate way too much junk food (especially Saturday and Sunday). Oh well, today is a new day! I will be more hardcore with my calories/exercise this week, and be below 280 lbs when I check in next week! ^_^

SO CLOSE!!!!!!!!!! My goal last week was to have a total weight loss of 10 lbs. As of Sunday morning, I've lost a total of 9.8 lbs. SO CLOSE MAN!!!!!!!!!!! >.< Ah well, it still counts, so I'm happy. 2.2 lbs in a week is pretty good! ^_^

Also, it's been 22 days of no nail biting! YEAH!!!!!!!!! ^_^

Not too bad this week. I had a few days where I went over my calories, but I still managed to loose the weight I put on last week, and then some! (5 whole lbs lower than last week! WHUT WHUT!!!!!!) All in all, I'm satisfied. Also managed to keep up with not biting my nails! ^_^ My goal for next week is to be at 280 lbs or less. I'm considering my starting weight as 290 lbs, because that's where I was at when I unofficially started. If I meet my goal for next week, I will have lost a total of 10 pounds! Wish me luck! ^_^

EDIT: In 4 weeks, I've lost 1/2 an inch each in my bust and hips, and 4 inches in my waist! WOOHOO!!!!!

I have a feeling this week didn't go well. I had a lot of junk food yesterday, and went WAY over my calories. Also, TMICollapse ) I have Roller Derby practice today, which burns a TON of calories, so hopefully that will make up for it. On the plus side, I haven't bitten my nails in a whole week! WOOHOO!!!!! Anyway, we'll see what the scale has to say tomorrow morning. Guess that's it for now. Peace! ^_^

EDIT: So yeah, I gained a little this past week, but I'm not upset, considering. I'll make up for it this week! ^_^

Things seem to be going well so far. It seems like Sundays are the days where I go over my calories (unless I go to Roller Derby practice, in which case I can't possibly go over - do you know how many calories 2 1/2 hours of skating burns? It's A LOT!!!!!). I'm epically failing as far as the no nail biting thing goes, but tomorrow is another day. I'm getting my 4 workouts a week in (usually a walk/run up and down my street), I'm still logging my food and staying under my 1600 net calorie goal for the most part, and I'm getting at least 4 servings of fruits/veggies in every week. I'd love to do more fruits/veggies, but I can only eat what I can get my hands on, and sometimes good produce is tough to find around here (especially when you have a picky mom doing the shopping - I LOVE YOU MOMMY!!!!!). Anyway, I guess that's it for now. Stay tuned for next week's update! ^_^
